Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Sacchi. I attend Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Connecticut. From the moment I kicked my very first soccer ball, I knew my love for athletics was real. I have always loved running, starting when I would chase all of my friends around on the playground in kindergarten. When I first started track during my freshman year, I did not know what to expect. During my 300 meter indoor races, I would look behind me to see where my competitors were, and fling my arms all around, thinking that was the correct way to run. Since then, I have learned so much about improving my form, eating right, and realizing that track is a lifestlye.  This sport has taught me the importance of working 110% in order to achieve my aspirations. I am choosing to focus exclusively on track, for it is my passion. I train for the 55, 100, 200, and 300 meters in addition to 4 by 100, 200 and 400 meter relays.

I love to challenge myself, both mentally and physically, in order to be the best athlete and student I can be.  I am a part of the National Honor Society and have been on the high honor roll throughout my junior year. I am currently working on my Gold Award in Girl Scouts, and once a week, I teach catechism to fourth graders with my brother at my local church. As a senior track captain, I plan to challenge myself through every practice and meet, in addition to playing the violin, and maintaining a high GPA. My goal is to make it to the college level and improve my skills even further to become someone great.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
