Jaleyah Douglass '13 Recruiting Profile

I’m Jaleyah Douglass born in Oakland, CA, moved outside the bay area to Mountain House, CA six years ago attended Kimball High in Tracy, CA.  I’m currently a sophomore at Modesto Junior College I’m currently 5'5 & 145 pounds, I have participated in track and field for 11 years. Beginning with a local team called 3M, gradually moved onto high school where I attended Masters my sophomore, junior and senior year. Before graduating in 2013 I placed 4th in discus at the Masters’ Invitational. My freshman year of junior college I had the privilege of competing at State Competition 2014 in javelin, doing so I placed 7th with a toss of 107. I am a very dedicated athlete I always strive for a great performance, distance and time. But I most strive for a good education. Once I complete my sophomore year at Modesto junior college I plan to attend a four year University or a UC so I can have the Full University experience. I am open to attending school out of state, I am currently living in a single parent home and I will need financial assistance to for feel my educational goals as well as my athletic ability. My desire to be successful enough to be a part of Team USA. My goals for track is to improve my distance in all areas of my event which are javelin, discus, hammer and shot put and help my team in every way possible as well as helping myself. Complete my long and short term goals if that plan doesn’t fall through then I would like to be in the Medical Field as a Sports Doctor.
