I have been pole vaulting since my freshmen year in high school. As soon as I started competing I knew this was something I wanted to do at a collegiate level. In addition to my high school training, I have participated in the "No Limit Sports" club team. I have spent most of my time in the past years at the track both in season and during the summer. Even while injured I was on the track doing workouts to the best of my ability.
This year in addition to pole vaulting, I have participated in long and triple jump.
Although track is a big part of my life, I do not let it interfere with academics. In order to maintain my high GPA I study hard and make sure to balance my time in order to maximize my abilities. I also volunteer at a local youth track program in my community. I assist in coaching young children in many track and field events. In other school activities, I am a member of Student Council and the American Cancer Society club.
