Abigail Utic '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abby Utic and I am currently a Senior at Scotts Valley High School in Scotts Valley, California. I will be graduating in 2012 and look forward to going to college next fall. I am entering my third season of cross country and I hope to continue running next year at the college level. I am open to all schools on the west coast, but ideally I would like to stay in California. I think I would thrive best at the DII or DIII level but am encouraged by my mentors to aim for DI schools. I was elected co-captain of my team this year and have attained a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school career. I have come a long way with my running and continue to work hard to improve my times every race. My biggest accomplishments in cross country were taking 8th place at CCS and 24th place at the California State  D4 Championship this year.  This summer I took 8th in the womens division and 50th overall out of 700 runners at the local Race Thru the Redwoods 10k foot race.
