Kassady Learn '17 Recruiting Profile

You can trust me to work hard every practice and support the team in whatever way I can.  I'm in my senior year, as captain of the XC team, I had 4 PRs this season helping the team. We reached our goal of making it to the State Championships at Woodward Park, CA.  I finished with a time of 18:57.7 (5K) and I look forward to running the longer distances in college where I feel I'm strong.

For the last 3 years in track, I have helped my Varsity team in all the distance runs including the 800, 1600, 3200 and DMR and I'm sure I will again in the spring. I have always respected the coach's decision to put me where ever I can best help the team.

I am a tri-sport athlete at my high school where I also enjoy playing soccer at school and for a travel competitive soccer team. I like the different styles of running as I feel it helps me with conditioning. My last two soccer coaches have recognized me with the "Coaches Award" for outstanding contributions in 2013 and again in 2016. I also received the MVP Award for the 2016 XC team and was voted "Most Athletic Female" by my peers in the Senior class which was exciting. 

I am most excited about continuing to compete in running in college and I know I can add value to a great team. Since I want to be a commercial airline pilot, I am looking for schools with an Aeronautical Science or Airline Transportation degree with an airport nearby so that I can begin my ratings.
