Julie Diaz '17 Recruiting Profile

Making it to the California State Championships with my team three year in a row has been an incredible experience but more than anything has taught me the passion to succeed, as well as teamwork and great leadership. I was fortunate enough to participate in a program where the State Championships became a tradition and the team aspect of it made me crave a passion to succeed for myself, as well as my teammates who rely on me. I've learned leadership is huge on inspiring teammates to want accomplish our goals, which has driven me want to keep getting better and take this team to the State Championships for my remaining year.

I'm looking for a school where I can continue to compete at an appropriate level and is a good fit for my education. I enjoy the work-ethic and commitment it takes to be a student-athlete. My academic success is just as important as any athletic goals I hope to accomplish at the collegiate level. I believe I can be an asset to a college team with my passion to run and motivation to continue growing.
