Alex Jenks '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Alexandra Jenks but I go by Alex. I started High School as a soccer player and am now a committed track/cross country athlete. To keep in shape my freshman year for soccer I joined the cross country team and excelled finishing second in the Solano County Athletic Conference (SCAC). The Vanden track coach recruited me in the spring to run distance events at conference meets only. Despite no training both my freshman and sophomore years, due to soccer commitments, I finished Conference Champion in the 800 (second freshman year), 1600, & 3200. I repeated the triple crown my junior year but also anchored the 4 x 400 relay with a 59 second split. I am a perfectionist and driven to succeed this made me switch solely to cross country and track my junior year. I am looking for a competitive college program with excellent coaching so I can train with and learn from the best. Even though I want to compete competitively in track at college my first priority will always be to my education and getting a degree in the area of athletic training or physical therapy.
