Since my freshman year, I have been running track competitively. During my freshman and sophomore year, my main events were the 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay, and the 4x400m relay. In my sophomore year, I was the third leg of the San-Joaquin's best 4x100m relay and we made it to states. Towards the end of my sophomore year, I also took on the challenge to learn how to run the hurdles. Through my discipline and self motivation, in my junior year, I made it to Masters Finals in the 300m hurdles and the 4x400m relay. In the finals, I took 5th overall in the hurdles and 1st in the 4x400m relay. When my relay team and I went to states, we placed 10th overall.
Placing 10th in the 4x400m relay was a big learning lesson for myself. I use this experience to push myself through this year's training process. My goal this year is to make it to states in my own individual event in the 300m hurdles and to return in our relay team as well.
