My name is Daizhiana Ebert, I am currently a Senior in high school. I attend Ridgeview High School in Bakersfield, Ca. I want to go to college and study to become a Physical therapist or a personal trainer. I like to stay in shape and would love to help others. I stay in shape for track by playing volleyball and basketball for my high school. For as long as I can remember running has been a part of my life. From racing the kids in the neighborhood when I was 5 years old to just running everywhere I wanted to go instead of walking. I started running track when I was in 5th grade because that is the earliest my school would allow me to start. I am a sprinter but I also ran cross country from 5th grade to 8th grade. At the end of the 2014 track season I do believe I found my new niche. My coach decided to let me try long jump. It was the 4th track meet before the end of the season. With no formal training just went out and jumped and placed 3rd place with a jump of 16ft 5in. The next meet with a further jump I placed 2nd, next meet 1st place with an even further jump. Our last meet for our Area meet I also took 1st. I found my new love in track. I began doing club track during the summer and tried triple jump. Also placed mostly 1st and 2nd all summer. I still need a lot of practice and coaching in both events. I know I have lots of room for improvement and with great coaching and the right college I know I can do great things.
