My name is Alyssa, and I am a 9th grader at Cienega High School. In addition to track, I've played soccer and basketball for my middle school. I will compete in track &field and basketball. I have kept my grades at mostly As and Bs through middle school and have been involved in Student Council in addition to sports.
I have competed for AZ Adrenaline TC with Coach Vince Alexander in Vail, AZ. My coaches have said that I lead by example.
I have won and placed at USATF Arizona and Region X championships in 2012, 2014, 2015 & 2016 in Discus, Javelin & Shot Put.
I qualified for USATF Jr. Olympic Nationals in 2012 (9-10 Turbo Javelin 13th & Shot 33rd), 2014 (11-12 Turbo Javelin Gold Medalist, Discus 13th and Shot Put 9th), 2015 (13-14 Discus 10th, Javelin 9th & Shot 33rd) and 2016 (6th Javelin, 15th Shot and Discus DNC due to illness).
After HS graduation, I hope to throw Discus and Javelin at the Division I level, with the possibility of one day competing in the Olympic Games.
Thank you.
