As a freshman, I broke the school record of over 20 years in the long jump. This was a major accomplishment for me as I was new to this sport. I was a level 9 competitive gymnast until the spring of 2016. As I was preparing for high school, I expressed to my parents that I wanted to explore other sports at the high school level. For fun, I did a Hershey sponsored track meet at my local elementary school. I did extremely well in this local meet and really enjoyed the experience. One of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make was to evaluate my future with gymnastics and my desire to do other sports. In the end, I really wanted to run track, so my mom found a local track club for me to run with. I excelled in long jump and with only a couple weeks of training, placed 3rd in the State, went on to Regionals & placed 2nd. Track quickly became my new passion. Being so successful in such a short time, I have learned that I can accomplish anything I want to with hard work and determination. I am also just as determined in the classroom. I am self-motivated, have very high expectations for myself, and always strive to excel in everything that I do. I am confident that my drive and athleticism would be a great value to your program. I cannot wait to be the best I can and see where my track career takes me!
