I have two major goals; one, to excel in college tennis and two, to become a veterinarian. While I was only introduced to tennis at 14, I have worked very hard to catch up and exceed those who have played since an early age. My competitive nature has helped me progress rapidly and I believe I can become a major contributor to my team and teammates in both singles and doubles tennis. I am a very dedicated student currently a 4.2 weighted GPA and care deeply about my grades. While I am a bit shy, I am very responsible, hardworking, and determined to achieve my goals. As a sophomore, I was very proud to have reached the number 4 varsity position in an A1A division 5A school with less than 2 years of experience. I am looking for a college with a record of academic excellence and a competitive attitude toward tennis. My desire is to be in an institution that will provide both the education and tennis coaching that will allow me to reach my goals.
I believe my coach’s would say I have excellent potential, that I am very serious and approach the game from a technical and mental standpoint.
My serious nature has made me very capable at managing my schedule, balancing school with tournaments and weekly tennis lessons. While I realize I am still growing I am dedicated to reaching my goals of both tennis success and academic excellence.
