Personal Statement

The best way to describe myself is by providing a few words and word phrases: tennis-lover, active, responsible, leader, caring, lover of food (but only in moderation!), selective, dog-lover, empathetic, hard-working, true. Those words provide a small sampling of who I have become as a person. Now, for tennis. I would say that I have become increasingly competitive over the past several months and now believe I have the fire to win. I also possess a true love for the game so never have issues with working hard and putting in the extra time it takes to become the best player I possibly can. Everyone has limitations, but not everyone is willing to work at overcoming them. I am.

My summer is going extremely well as I am working with my coach 2-3 times a week and hitting partners another 2-3 times a week. I will play in 4-5 USTA Tournaments prior to the start of my senior year and have never felt as confident and excited about my overall game as I do right now. However, I am working hard to learn as much about the game as possible and to improve every time I take the court.

Also, I am very driven to learn and have proven to be an excellent student. After being inducted into the National Honor Society in May, I finished off my junior year by making High Honors and now have an overall GPA of 4.24 and class ranking of 12/299. My upcoming senior year will be difficult as I am taking three more AP courses but I am looking forward to the challenge. As of this moment, I am looking to pursue a profession that allows me to capitalize on my strengths in math and science so will take that into consideration as I move through the recruiting process.

Although I am not sure where I will attend college, I do know I would like to make a decision before the start of my winter term so that I can focus on school and tennis for the spring.

Thank you for viewing my profile and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments or advice.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
