Kahlan Wilson '20 Recruiting Profile

I started swimming only 2 years back. With vigilant effort and time and dedication, I qualified for Hawaii's state meet just after year 1 and had competed in Wyoming's state meet within the first year. I am determined in just about everything that I do both in and out of the pool. I attend an IB school in Hawaii with an incredibly rigorous program, even still, I am able to achieve top marks in most assignments and consistently put in work at practice. I am dedicated to this sport and always willing to come to practice, even if my parents or tired or I am slammed with homework. I am always pushing myself to be a better swimmer, I am almost never truly satisfied with my times because there is always a bigger goal that I want to achieve which drives me forward. During relays (200 and 400 free; 200 medley) I am almost always a lead-off or an anchor (for both age group and senior meets). I went to HHSAA states this year as a freshman for the 50 and 100 free and was part of the 200 free relay that qualified for finals. I want to compete in college to challenge myself and to see where I can take my swimming. I believe that with the right fit, I can take my swimming to completely different levels.
