Bryn Waller '22 Recruiting Profile

Bryn studies at the British International School of Houston where she receives a world class global education.  Together with her peers, they collaborate and exchange ideas to produce solutions for global challenges.  BISH is affiliated with Apple Technologies, MIT, and Juilliard.  Bryn has served on the student council for two years and as house captain for head of primary. This year she serves as team captain for the Bulldog swim team.  She demonstrates great leadership qualities and is quick to include others if they appear to be left out.  

Bryn trains at Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club (Fleet).  Last short course season, Bryn qualified for Texas Age Group Swimming Championships in the 50 free, 100IM, 50 fly, and swam as anchor on 4 relays in freestyle.  She qualified for A finals in the 50 freestyle and is ranked 8th in the state of Texas.  

This past long course season, Bryn aged up to the 13-14 age group.  She qualified for Gulf Champs in the 50 freestyle and placed 19th in the B finals.  This season, Bryn trains under coach Louis Demitrades with the Titanium national prep group.  Training hours are 17 hours per week to include two 5:00am practices before school and 5 afternoon practices after school and 1 three hour practice on Saturdays.

Bryn also receives mentorship under Olympian swimmer, Caroline Burckle with Rise Elite Athletes.  These Olympian mentors use a positive-psychology based approach where they provide athletes with three essential tools to champion sport and life: mindfulness, focus, and empowerment.
