Amanda Toledo '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a swimmer from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico and I have been swimming competitively for about 9 years. From the years 2006 to 2011 I have been in Puerto Rico's national team. Last year I participated in the Central American and Caribbean Games. My best events are the backstrokes, but I also swim I.M. and freestyle.  This year I was named the second top scorer of my age group in the Puertorican National Championships. I have always been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am a very determined person who always strives to do her best and my hard work is what has gotten me to where I am today. I am a senior looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between my studies and sports. I would like to pursue an university with a great academic reputation in the field of medicine and genetics. I would prefer to study somewhere in the East Coast, however, it is not absolutely necessary.
