Darrah Jampo '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Darrah Jampo and I am a Senior at West Chester East High School in West Chester PA, where the swim team is AAA division. I have been on the varsity swim team for 4 years, and received All-State Honorable Mention and All American in the 2010-2011 swim season and 2011-2012 swim season. I swam butterfly on the 200 medley relay which placed 9th at the 2011 PIAA State Championship Meet, and 6th at the 2012 PIAA State Championship Meet. My best events are 100 yd fly 59.27, 100 yd back 1:01.26, 200 yd back 2:11.56 100 yd free 54.52, and 50 yd free 25.31. I have continued to drop time this year during long course meets and competed at Super Sectionals at University of Buffalo, NY in August. I have a 3.5 GPA and am an Honor student. I am 5' 8" and weigh 145 pounds. I have been a serious and dedicated club swimmer for 6 years with Malvern Swimming Association, Malvern PA. In September 2011 I joined Suburban Seahawks Club, Newtown Square PA, where I am committed to a more intense regiment, focused on both conditioning and technique. I believe that a positive attitude and hard work is key when performing and that is the only way you will get results. It has always been my dream to swim in college at the highest level I can, and I am passionate about doing everything I can to make that happen. Ideally, I would like to attend a large school with a lot of school spirit and a great atmosphere. I am excited at the prospect of continuing my swimming career at the collegiate level.
