My name is Sophia Gaguzis and I currently attend Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, PA. I carry a full load of honors and AP courses and maintain a 4.8 GPA (on a 4.0) scale. I am 35th out of a class of almost 600 students. I am very interested in the biological sciences and my goals are to attend college to obtain a Biology degree and attend medical school. As a swimmer for both my high school varsity team and my USA Swimming club, I have had to learn how to manage my time and focus on a lot of different things at once. I feel that I am focused and I feel that I work very hard at whatever it is I do (whether it is practice or meets or school or community volunteering). I really enjoy the camaraderie of my team and I always support and cheer on my teammates and help the underclassmen improve through "leading by example" both in the pool and outside of the pool. I have been swimming competitively since I was 6 and I feel that my best strokes are freestyle and the IM. I hope that after you have read my profile that you will feel that I would definitely be an asset to the swim team in particular and the college/university as a whole.
