Kelsey Urban '15 Recruiting Profile

I would love to get my 200Y IM time down to a 2:08 by the time I graduate and my 100Y fly down to a 1:00. I would like to make YMCA nationals next year in the IM and would love to make high school states again next year. I made this year, and know I have to work even harder this year.

I would like to go to a wonderful academic school with a great business and management program, one with either division I or II. I always push myself to be better, because I know the more pain I push through, it'll be easier the next time I try. I work hard to achieve my goals and never give up. My competition is really big, but an even bigger competitor is myself, because I could easily give up. I've been through a lot, and so when I do reach a goal, nothing makes me happier than seeing smiles from my coaches, teammates, and parents. I'm happy to make them proud, and even happier to make myself proud.

I see school and swimming as a meal. School is the main course, and no matter how tough it is, I know that if I can finish it all with high markings, that dessert, or swimming, my greatest passion, is next, and that is what motivates me to keep going.
