Personal Statement
Above all, I am a fighter and cannot be defeated. I was born premature at 26 weeks weighing 1.5 lbs. and am a surviving twin. I also survived MRSA and a resulting Brain surgery in 2015. I am both physically and mentally stronger because of these experiences. I began swimming competitively at the age of 7 years old. I swim for myself, my teammates and for the joy it brings me. I train and compete to better myself. I am a hard worker in all I do. I am very disciplined in both my studies and my training. I am looking for an academic scholarship, however, I would consider swimming if the right opportunity presented itself. I also have very strong supportive parents.
