I have been swimming since I was 8 years old. February of 2015 I had surgery on my right shoulder. At that moment in my life I was faced with a hard decision: either to have surgery and continue to swim, or to quit swimming and avoid surgery. I knew I had always wanted to swim in college and quitting swimming was not an option for me, so I had the surgery and completed Physical Therapy. That year became the hardest year of my life, but now my shoulder is back to 100% and I am more determined than ever to continue swimming. I would like to further my swimming career in college knowing it will take a lot of hard work and discipline. I love being on a team, and I love being a swimmer!
