Awards and Activities

  • AwardsI was named part of the 2012-13 Scholastic All-American team by USA Swimming. I was on High Honoroll freshman year and Honoroll sophomore year so I earned the 2nd year yearly honoroll award. I was then on High Honoroll junior year and received the third year honoroll award. I received Presidential Award for P.E. class sophomore year. Freshman, sophomore, and junior year I earned the Principal Scholar Athlete Award.
  • ActivitiesJunior year I was the communications adviser liaison for a club at my school called Oakwood Giving. We do a lot of volunteer work in the community and try to get people involved to raise money for different causes. Along with just participating that position put me in charge of a few events along with being the representative for our club. I have been in Oakwood Giving all through high school and I am the president for my senior year. I also participate in a group called Peer Mentoring where we go to the elementary school in our city once a week at lunch and play with/eat lunch with the younger kids as good role models and friends they can talk to. We are there to especially seek out the kids who seem a little out of place, new students, and kids that don't seem to have many friends. This will be my third year in Peer Mentoring. I am also a member of a club called US International. We do a lot of fundraising so that once we get enough money we can provide drinkable water for those less fortunate in Africa. This will also be my third year as an aid for the guidance office at our high school during my study hall period each day. I deliver passes, handle confidential material, and answer the phone when necessary. I am also a member of Ecology Club; we handle all the recycling at the school and motivate everyone to go green! I am also a lifeguard at a country club near my house and frequently teach swimming lessons to younger kids.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
