There has been a lot that has shaped my swimming experience thus far but one important highlight would be as a freshman winning the 200 freestyle relay at Ohio high school state championships, and breaking my school's first state record in this relay.
There have also been experiences that have really challenged me and helped me grow as a swimmer and as a person. One of these experiences was when my 200 medley relay, which was scheduled to win high school states, got disqualified at districts, the state qualifying meet. During this experience, I learned how important it is to be there for your teammates and to be flexible within a season, and I think that experience will help me be ready for swimming at the college level, doing my part on the team, and being there for my teammates in a tough time.
I am fortunate enough to be part of an amazing high school team, along with my club team, Ohio State Swim Club, with whom I have been fortunate enough to compete at meets such as Junior Nationals in Florida. With these club and high school teams, I have learned the value of positivity within the team, dedication, and sacrifice. I am looking for a great fit for me in a college program athletically and academically. I believe I have the talent and potential to compete for a college team, and that I will have a good impact on your program with my work ethic, character, and experience being a positive teammate. Through my time on my high school and club teams, I believe I have the character attributes to be a leader and a positive influence on your team!
