Lauren Lammlein '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 120 pound, 5' 2'' distance swimmer from North Canton, Ohio. I have been swimming competitively
for twelve years, and I would love to continue into college. I have started all three years of high school,
been apart of two All-Ohio teams, and named team captain for my senior year.

My coaches call me the "Energizer Bunny" due to the fact that I keep swimming, and swimming, and
swimming. I am a determined, driven, and responsible student athlete. I have a GPA of 4.3 and
received a 26 on my ACT. I have taken many honors and AP courses. I not only love to challenge
my body, I love to challenge my mind. Swimming is a passion of mine, but swimming competitively can
not last forever, so I am looking for an institution that can give the right balance between the pool and the
classroom. During swim season my grades are better due to the discipline the sport has taught me,
so I would love to swim for four more years while earning a degree in either middle school education
or psychology.
 
Besides swimming, I am very involved in extracurricular activities and volunteering in the community.
Some of my activies include: National Honor Society, Agape girls, and a volunteer as a coach for the
Stark Sharks Special Olympic Swim Team. I love being involved and helping others in need.

Finding an instituion that balances the classroom and the pool would be ideal. As a student athlete I
would help to contribute to my college and feel apart of the school.
