People ask "Who am I"? I often ask myself that question everyday. I've been called the "Ray Lewis" of the team. I've been called "Turtle". I've been called "Happy Go Lucky". My dreams and aspirations is to be the best person I can be. A few of my coaches call me Ray Lewis because I never look down, up and forward is the only way to look. My family calls me Turtle because I'm slow on land but fast in the water. Others call me Happy Go Lucky because I'm always smiling :D!
I started swimming eight years ago. Lucky for me, I had a coach who taught me technique. Since then I have had a passion for swimming. As I continue to learn and improve, my time on the board tells it all. I enjoy all events but most of all I'm improving on my butterfly and individual medley. Even though I have swam the majority of my life independently, does NOT mean that I do not like to encourage others. I love the feeling of excitement and coming together as a team. I love to be just one big happy family!
Swimming for a four year college isn't just an aspiration but a goal I know I will achieve. I have always dreamed about swimming in college and pursuing in Marine Biology. I am currently taking honors classes in high school and will continue to acquire knowledge I can't learn in the pool; hopefully challenging myself. I am part of the Band class at my school, Science Olympiad club, The Science Experimental Group of Huntley High School and The Reptile and Amphibian Club. I love participating with my school and putting in that extra effort to have one more thing to do.
