Personal Statement

My name is Katie, and I am currently a Junior at Buena High School in Ventura, California. My love is swimming, always has and always will. My biggest dream to be able to swim in college--because it's what I love to do. My goal time for this season for my 100 Breaststoke is a 1:06. My ultimate goal in life is to become a pediatrition. I maintain over a 4.0--I am in 3 AP classes and one honors class this year, I hold a part-time job as a swim coach, another part-time job at Ledgends Photography. I am Vice President of Science League, a member of CSF(National Honor Society), and the President of A-Team(a tutoring group on campus). I also volunteer as a Brownie Girl Scout Leader, and I am an Ambassador Girl Scout and I am working on my Gold Award. I swim between 4 and 5 hours a day for both my club team (Rio Mesa Swim Club) and my High School Team (Buena High School). Buena High is a Division 1 school, and this year I will be attending CIF. In addition to swimming, I am also the #1 runner on my Cross-Country team in the fall, and I compete in local triathalons--where I run for Miles For Hope(an organization that supports brain tumors) because my younger sister has a cancerous brain tumor.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
