Personal Statement
Hello, I’m Brigitte Temple and I am a swimmer from San Diego, CA. I swim for College Area Swim Team (CAST) and currently attend Patrick Henry High School. I started a little later in swimming but I have been consistently improving since I was 11 and have not yet peaked. I am a very hard worker who attends every practice and gives every practice 100%. I swim breastroke and distance IM, and have qualified for Sectionals. During freshman year I placed third in San Diego City Conference and fifth and the California Interscholastic Federation Swim Meet (CIF) in the 100 breast.
I plan on majoring in an engineering field and I want my future college to offer a good quality engineering program. I am open to leaving California for college and I don’t have a preference to small or large schools. I don’t have a preference about what division level the college is as long as it can support my academic and athletic needs I am open to lots of options.
I have always wanted to be a collegiate athlete and I can assure you that I will always work hard. I am extremely motivated and excited to find a great team and college.

- The team that I am on focuses on conditioning that is related to the types of events that the swimmer normally swims. In a normal week I do 9 practices (4 of them in the morning) and in total over 20 hours of swimming and dryland.
