Taylor Shields '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Taylor Shields and I aspire to excel in both swimming and academics at the college I decide to go to. I have been learning to swim before I was even a year old. I joined a team, however, when I was four years old, even if I wasn't very good. I have learned many key points I never would have experienced certain things if I hadn't joined the swim team, such as the times our team decided figure out how to apply a whole bottle of zinka on someone's face in one sitting, or running a snack bar at Junior Olympics,  and even participating in mock meets with the rest of my team. I have also made many unforgettable friends through swimming and swimming altogether changed me. I have loved swimming ever since I was little and expect to keep swimming all my life.
