I have been involved in sports since I was three years old and began playing soccer. At that time, the rule was, in order to play, you must be potty- trained. I have played soccer ever since that time. Over the years I have played softball, volleyball and tennis. I love sports. I am excited every day to go to practice and being a part of athletics keeps me organized. I have had to learn how to manage my time in order to balance school work and sports and so far, I have been very successful at this. I have made many new friends over the years and have played on many different teams. I have learned what it takes to be a leader and I have learned how to work together with others to achieve a common goal. Not only that, but I have also learned how to take constructive criticism, work with a teacher or a coach, and work hard to become a better student and athlete. I am also a good person who enjoys helping others. A coach once told me "you are the person who does the right thing when nobody is watching." While I have enjoyed playing other sports, soccer is most important and enjoyable to me. I love being on the field and I love how physical the sport is. When I look at my future, I cannot imagine my life without soccer.
