Natalie Hawkins '21 Recruiting Profile

I've always have loved to play soccer and have had a passion to get better every time I play, that's why my top aspiration in life is to one day play for the U.S Women's National Team. I hope to get a scholarship to a university where I can further my education but continue my love for soccer by having the honor to play for the school's team. I believe that I'm different from other recruits because I've had a hard backstory of the rejection of many clubs and I've had many setbacks that the same situation has happened to others I know and they can't bounce back. Because this sport is my passion, it is this huge part of me, I have never given up. I never gave up because the heartbreak of being dropped to the B team or not being scouted for a team is not nearly as bad as the heartbreak I would have if I stopped playing. The great Ronaldinho once said "I have learned all about life with a ball at my feet." and I couldn't agree more.
