Personal Statement

The first video (BEHS Freshman Year Varsity Highlights (2016)) has some highlights from my first year of HS soccer. I was a full time varsity starter and helped lead my team to the Bi-district quarterfinals, tied a senior for the scoring lead on the team.

The second highlight video (2016 Highlights) shows me as an 8th grader (U14) guest playing for my club's U18s (the opponent in white where I score with my left foot :)), playing for my U14 team (against the team in red shirts/black shorts), and guest playing for the U16s (against the team in red shirts/red shorts).

The third highlight video (2016 Highlights #2) shows me as an incoming 9th grader guest playing for the WFC Rangers G98 Gold (incoming seniors and juniors) team in the Pleasanton Rage tournament (July 22-24, 2016). Our team competed in the 2nd highest division, and finished 2-1-1. Of our team's 4 goals scored, I scored 1 and assisted 1.

My goals are to play college soccer at a high level. I would be a good addition for any team because I am willing to work hard and do what it takes to help my teammates succeed. I won't complain or back out if things get tough. I don't only work hard on the field, but off as well. I keep my grades up and am dependable in my studies and extracurricular activities. As an athlete, I will also have the chance to be a positive mentor to others. I remember going to collegiate camps and looking up to the players there, hoping I could help others like they helped me. Especially as a female athlete, I feel that participation in sports helps girls build confidence in themselves that helps them succeed in all areas of life. Playing soccer in college will give me the chance to use my talents to do something good. I can't wait to compete at the highest level.
