Annie Arthur '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'3'', 118 lb sophomore filled with enthusiasm, a competitive nature and a love of soccer.  I live in Woodstock, Vermont and play for Woodstock Union High School's Varsity soccer team. Last year, i was the only freshman to make the varsity team, vieing for a position with 27 JV players. I was the starter among seven seniors. I played most of the year as right defense, moving to center mid for the last few games of the season. This past season I started every game in the center mid position.I have played soccer since I was five years old, and love the competition and excitement it brings. This past year i was awarded Marble Valley League 1st Team for Division II. Even though I was not given the title Captain, I didn't let that stop me from leading and being very dedicated to my team.

To think about college without sports is devastating, so I strive to persue playing in competitive athletics. I am open to just about any school and any division. I would love the opportunity to study and play at just about any location in the country. As of now, I believe I am going to major in the area of science.  School is very important to me. I compete even with myself to work to my highest ability. My current GPA is 99.39. I would love to be able to make an impact on the team I play with. Being given the opportunity to play with others at the same skill and intensity level as me, or even greater, would be an incredible experience.
