My collegiate goals are based on what I want to do with my life. I want to make an impact on someone’s life – or many people’s lives that will shake their foundation in a profound way. I believe that will be found in biomedical engineering, bioneurology or possibly pre-med. For example, I'm interested in biomedical because people with prosthetic legs can often climb stairs, walk, swim, and play sports as well as though they were using natural limbs. Prosthetic limbs are amazing inventions and are only getting more refined each year with better engineering. These developments are advancing people’s independence dramatically and I want to be a part of it.
I understand the academic excellence required to enter the schools on my top list. I am in all Pre-AP classes. I will continue to prove myself academically. It is the most important goal in my life. I am also active in community service and give as much time as possible back to my community. I am able to do this through my involvement in AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination).
Soccer has been important to me as well. I have played soccer since I was five. I played two years of ODP and Club Soccer for five years. The last last two years have been on an ECNL team. Playing soccer for my college is a goal I want to achieve. I’ve envisioned myself wearing school colors and playing for a university team for so long that I can hardly believe it’s time for me to start making decisions!
I would make a good recruit for your team as a goalkeeper because : (1) I’m cool-headed under pressure; (2) I give great player direction; (3) I can read the field and play the ball where it needs to go; and (4) I’m quick and agile with great diving skills. Outside of skills, I am a player that gets along with the entire team and I'm very dedicated to my academic and team success.
