From the age of 6 up until this point in my life soccer has always been a huge part of who I am. It has taught me many important life values such as time management, building relationships, respecting my peers, and acknowledging that failure is apart of success. My journey in becoming the best athlete I can possibly be is far from over, it is just beginning. Having the opportunity to play soccer at a college level would be a dream come true for me. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure I attain those dreams and make them reality. Everyday I am always looking for ways to get better, whether that means playing alone, attending the games of others, or even watching videos. Individually I have many strengths. Those strengths include speed, good foot skills, a good vision of the field at all times, finishing, defending, the talent to play multiple positions, and the ability to think multiple steps ahead. My strengths as a team player include encouraging my teammates, giving them positive reinforcement, stepping up to be a leader, and most importantly respecting them on and off the field. Aside from soccer something that is also very important to me is my education. I spend a lot of time on my school work to maintain a high grade point average. Also, I take part in extra curricular activities such as a variety of school clubs and volunteering at concession stands for athletic functions. Making sure I keep my grades high will assist me into getting into a good college and having a successful future. I make an excellent candidate for any team because I possess many qualities and skills that will benefit a team in multiple ways. Also, I differ from the average athlete because I put absolutely everything I have into what I do. By the end of a game I make it my mission to come off of the field dead tired from all the hard work I put in. I don't want to be a good athlete, I want to be a great athlete. Drive, discipline, self confidence, focus, commitment and determination are all qualities a great athlete must contain. I am glad to say I possess them all.
