Gabrielle Pelura '11 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Gabrielle Pelura, and I am a 5' 9" goalkeeper looking for an academically challenging college or university that can also provide me with a competitive soccer experience. I am open to all divisions. In the end, I am searching for the school that is the best match for me in all aspects of the experience, from academics to soccer and finally to the social fit. I have been playing soccer for about twelve years. For my four years of high school, I chose to focus my attention on premier club teams, EPYSA ODP, and Super Y teams. I helped my ODP team win the Region I Championships in our under 16 year. In addition, my U-17 Super Y team just finished the season as champions of the Mid- Atlantic region, which puts us in the top seat for Nationals down in Florida around Thanksgiving. As the goalkeeper of numerous teams, I have led these teams through my specific communication and hard work ethic. I am very competitive, so you will see me in the front of the pack in fitness training despite my position in the goal. As an athlete in college, I hope to help that team reach their goals by being in the net and saving those hard shots. I want to make an impact on the team I join.
