Lauren Gross '21 Recruiting Profile

    Hello! My name is Lauren Gross. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.  I am currently a freshmen enrolled at Lewisburg Area High School in Lewisburg, PA.  I am taking an honors English class and advanced math. I also take Spanish 2 and play violin in the orchestra.  Right now I have a 100.35 GPA. I have played soccer for most of my life. I began playing soccer when I was 4 years old, and then I began playing travel soccer at the age of 8 years old. Not only am I very passionate about soccer but I also play several other sports including basketball, swimming, and I am planning to run track.  Over the course of the years of playing soccer I have been exposed to many positions. I've played on the wing, up top as a striker, in the midfield, and in the back as a defender. I absolutely love playing in the goal. Goalkeepers are positions that are important but often get overlooked. I am able to see plays develop and "direct traffic" for the back line, setting the defense on corner kicks and free kicks. Off the field I babysit and pet sit. I just joined MiniTHON club at my school, a club that helps raise money for childhood cancer. I always give 110% in everything I do, regardless if it's school work or just a practice.  I believe that my courageous, enthusiastic, hard-working, and determined mind help me accomplish my goals both in the classroom and on the field.
