Sports have been a big part of my life since I was young. I started with competitive gymnastics, then added soccer and then track. After ten years of gymnastics I decided once in high school that soccer was my sport. As a freshman I was brought up to play a few varsity games, as my coaches felt that I would be good competition for the older girls. Since my sophomore year, I have played almost every minute of every game for the varsity team. My junior year I was made captain and received All-League Honorable Mention, as well as the team Defensive MVP. I enjoy being the person my coaches and teammates look to for leadership, and make it my goal to motivate my teammates.
I'm looking for a college with a strong academic program that is a good fit athletically. I strive to do just as well in the classroom, as I do on the field. I've been on the Distinguished Honor Roll for all of high school so far, and place a lot of value on my education. I know that I have the skill and work ethic to make an immediate impact on a college team.
