Katy Hartigan '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Katy Hartigan. I attend Upper Darby High School in Pa.. Im a junior. Im 5'2, 115 lb. I have been playing since I was 4 years old. I first joined my club team when we were u9 till u17. I now play with the West Chester Predators '92. Offense is my choice of game. I am a quick and fast girl with ball skills and speed. I put my all into every game and practice I play. Its my dream to play soccer in college and hope to be the coach at my old high school. I don't really have a preference to where I go to school. I do want to major in being an elementary physical education teacher. I recently decided this after I went on a trip to New Orleans with my singing group. We taught devastated kids from the ninth ward, who were affected by Hurricane Katrina.It was a life changing experience. I also do things like this with another group I'm in, but we perform for the community and go to nursing homes. Singing and dancing are huge passions in my heart but soccer is definitely my number one passion. I would love to be a starter as a freshman on a very competitive college team. I am looking and hoping to get to play the sport I love to play each and everyday of my life.
