Alexa Fetterman '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Alexa Fetterman but I usually go by Lexi.  My goal is to attend college to pursue a career that I enjoy and would like to spend the rest of my life doing, while also playing the sport I love during my college years.  I would be a good candidate for the women's soccer team because of my drive and determination both on and off the field.  I always try my hardest and push myself on the soccer field both in practice and during games, right up until the whistle blows to end the game.  I never give up, even if my team is losing.  I am a very competitive person.  I was chosen as a captain on my varsity soccer team in 10th grade, which I helped lead my team on and off the field and also would help be a motivator to my teammates.  I consider myself to be a team player.  My 10th grade soccer season I was moved to play different positions, even playing multiple positions in a single game, because my coach knew I could adjust to the position and still would give 100%, even if it wasn't my normal position.  I also participate on a travel soccer team during the spring season, which I have been playing on since 2010.  I also try my hardest in the classroom, pushing myself to earn good grades and even taking dual enrollment college credits.   I have started on a weightlifting program at my high school this past year and in addition to working on general weightlifting, the coach also has been working with our soccer team with sport specific exercises.  Beginning in the summer of 2015 , I began working one on one with a private coach and will continue to work with him this upcoming summer, in an effort to become the best I can in soccer.
