I am interested in majoring in Criminal Justice. There are many different career opportunities that I can pursue in this field. I am looking for a college that will give me exposure and internships, and that will help guide me towards the best fit for my career goals. I also have other interests that I am considering either a double major or a minor, such as political science, or psychology/special education.
I have a passion for soccer, and specifically goalkeeping. I have been a goalkeeper for over 6 years as my primary position. I believe I have a natural ability in that spot, but am always looking for improvement and am able to put into action quickly the skills I have been taught. I am also versatile. I have been a successful forward/striker and have been able to score many goals with the little amount of time that I have spent on the field, rather than goalkeeping. I have taken on leadership roles within all the teams I have been on and have supported my team through encouragement, leading by example, and also with humor. I have also helped train the middle school team while in high school.
I am very conscientious about my grades. I have taken multiple AP courses and honors courses. I have consistently been on the Honor Roll and currently attend a Blue Ribbon Awarded high school. I participate in other extracurricular activities outside of sports in order to stay active and well rounded in my other areas of interest. I also plan to attend a Leadership and International Affairs summer program through the People to People Organization.
I also work a part time job as a waitress which is helping me to learn the importance of self reliance, responsibility and work ethic.
