Kara Wright '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kara Wright and I am a senior at Stockton High School. I have been playing school volleyball for seven years and club volleyball for 6 years. I had the privilege to play at the varsity level my freshman and sophomore years along side with my two older sisters; they not only helped me become a better player, but they also taught me how to be a leader on the court. Playing on a very competitive club team has also taught me how to work and never give up on a point.

I have quick movement in the back row and a strong attack in the front row. I also see the floor very well, playing almost every position in my volleyball career I know what to cover and it has also allowed me to see every part of the floor. I also help at youth camps which has helped me lead by example.

I also play basketball during the club season and I still maintain good grades. Grades to me are just as important as volleyball, I work equally hard at both. I would like to major in Sports Medicine and become an athletic trainer someday. Growing up in an athletic family I feel like becoming an athletic trainer would suit me best.
