I have been playing soccer since I was five years old. I started with an in-house league and eventually moved up to playing at the middle school level and cup level as well. I started out with STM Cup Team (Steel Town Magic) at the age of eight years old. I quickly realized how much I really enjoyed the sport of soccer, the competitive environment and the excitement of the game.
I have since been accepted to a different, more competitive Cup Team, Stars United SC. I have been with this team since 2012. My coach is a Division I women's soccer coach at Robert Morris University, John Kowalski. I am excited to be playing under Coach Kowalski and gain even a better knowledge of the game from a DI coach.
As a Freshman, I also played for my high school (Canon McMillan High School) Junior Varsity soccer and was also selected to play in a few Varsity games as well, in which I scored.
As a Sophomore I played varsity on one of the top teams in the toughest section in Western Pennsylvania. I helped my team to the WPIAL finals and also the State Finals. I finished the season with 2 goals and 2 assists.
I was also accepted by the PA West ODP Team in June of 2013 to current. This is such a great opportunity to play on the ODP team!
My main position on the soccer field is left-mid fielder. I am a lefty with a very powerful leg. My strengths include a very strong and accurate left cross. I also have excellent corner kicks and have been told by other coaches that my kicks are at a college level. I also seize the moment to score when the opportunity is there. I have exceptional endurance and break-away speed which has allowed me to become a top scoring player. I also do not shy away from physical contact. My height and physical strength provide a visible presence on the field.
I have a high level of dedication and commitment to soccer both during games and practice alike. Time management plays an important part of my daily schedule, which has allowed me time to not only succeed in soccer, but also exceed academically, which is just as important.
My goals include continuing with my soccer career with a college that encourages growth, team play and success both on and off the field. First and foremost is my educational experience, but playing soccer at a college level is a goal that I am working hard to achieve.
