Hi, my name is Rita Henriquez. I am currently a freshman enrolled at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, VA. I have initially decided to play as a walk on at VWC but have changed my mind. I plan to transfer from VWC after I complete my spring semester here. I plan to transfer to a school that has a welcoming atmosphere in there soccer program as well as a "home" feeling on the soccer team. It is always important to feel like I am a part of the team and everyone gets along so we can play like a team. Though I have not played on VWC's soccer team I have been active with soccer. I joined the schools club soccer team, Marlins FC, and have been very diligent to make practices as well as games. Marlins FC is a coed team and plays with other local colleges. We practiced as often as possible as well as play indoor soccer 3 nights a week. Therefore, my soccer skills and fitness have been in tact. I plan to submit a video as soon as the spring season for Marlins FC starts again. Going farther back, I played on my school's Varsity soccer team as a senior and junior. Along with playing for the school I also played for the school's club team, Lady Canes. I also did play other sports throughout my high school career.
