Ashley Johnson '12 Recruiting Profile

I have played soccer for 10 years, 5 of which were for Hilliard FC. I have played up an age group for 3 years. As a younger player I played on the field as a mid fielder for 2 years before I decided that I wanted to be a keeper. I have always wanted to play college soccer. I am always the first player to the field before practice and games and usually the last to leave. I want to attend school in the Eastern part of the country, no farther west than Illinois. I am looking for a school that offers a pre-med program, and has a high academic level. I am also looking for a smaller school so that I can have smaller class sizes and more one on one time with professors. I want a school that offers quite a bit of diversity, not a one size fits all school. I am planning on majoring in Biology and obtaining a minor in French or international studies. This combination of a minor and major will allow me to become an M.D. which will allow me to join Doctors Without Borders and give medical aid to other countries. I very much would like to play college soccer my entire college career. I believe that playing soccer will force me to become more efficient with my time, and will provide an outlet for stress. Time efficiency will be extremely important in medical school.
