For a long time, I didn't know soccer was what I wanted to do. I've played soccer since I was five, however, I also played volleyball since I was five. I loved both of these amazing sports the same until I came to middle school. In sixth grade, you are not allowed to play sports for your school, but you are allowed to be the manager. So that's what I did. I became the manager for my school soccer team. I think that is when I realized how beautiful the sport was, when I took a step back and watched the game. Coaches told my parents to get me involved with club soccer, and in seventh grade, we did that. Ever since then, I've been completely dedicated and focused on soccer, determined to keep growing and to reach the collegiate level.
Not only am I dedicated to improving myself, but I find it important to help my teammates in any way I can. Encouraging my teammates is very important to me because on the field, everyone makes a difference. One person can't win the game, it takes the whole team. Therefore, making sure the girls always understand their value, is important to me.
Success in the classroom is just as important to me as success on the field. In everything I do, I try to do my best. I challenge myself with honors classes and consistently make A's and B's. As a freshman, I made first chair clarinet in Symphonic Honors Band, and I was one of two freshmen to be invited onto the Wind Ensemble Honors class as well. Some may say I have a highly competitive personality, and this may be true. However, what they see as competitive, I see as dedication towards excellence in everything I do.
