Caroline Allison '23 Recruiting Profile

When I won the SC state title in 2015 I felt like I was on top of the world! That entire summer I was kept on the side line. I went from cloud nine to a deep depression. I couldn't understand why my coach kept me on the bench even though I was constantly told I was the most hard working player and had the most technical ability of the entire team. But the real problem was my confidence. This brought the world "no" into my vocabulary as a soccer player for the first time and made me decide if I would continue on with this goal. 

The rest of the summer I spent on the field. Constantly touching the ball and working with my personal coach on building myself back up and above who I was. I'm now the captain of my team for the 2nd year. Going through a period of time that forced me to look on from the bench has made a better human and has showed me how to believe in myself and never give up on my dreams,  and I know that my character could better your program.
