Personal Statement

I am currently playing for NYW Region 1 ODP winter, summer and tournament team. I will be playing for the WNY Flash Academy Premier team for the 2015-2016 season. I have also played for Kenton Revolution Premier for several years. My collegiate goal is to play soccer and although I would love to play D1, I would be honored to play the highest level of soccer I possibly can. I would make a great candidate for your team because I am a natural leader on and off the field. I have been the captain of my Premier travel soccer team for the past two years and will also be the captain of my High School Varsity team for the school year 2015-2016. I also was selected to the ODP (olympic development program) Indoor winter pool 2014 and Outdoor spring pool team 2015 , and I have earned a spot on the ODP 2015 Tournament team.  Along with being an active leader and a captain, I was named the 2014 MVP for Nichols School Varsity team, MVP of the Nichols Track team. I also was named to the Second all Catholic team as a sophomore in 2013, and I named to the First All Catholic team as a Junior in 2014.

I am an Honor Roll student at Nichols Prep School in Buffalo NY. Ive been chosen to be a Peer Advisor for incoming freshmen for the school year 2015-2106.  I also am an active participant in leadership clubs for my school such as Anti-gravity club and leadership academy.  Both of these involve week long trips to the Adirondacks where we work on how to be an effective leader and handle adversity with positive outcomes. We go ice climbing, in sub zero temperatures, and cross country skiing. We then go hiking in the summer with only a backpack for 5 days. We work on leadership/communication skills, team bonding and survival skills.  I volunteer at local soup kitchens, habitiat for humanity, Roswell Park Cancer institute, and am currently am working on an internship at ECMC over the summer of 2015 in the medical field.  My future goals are to attend college and major in nursing/biology and become a Nurse Practitioner or P.A.

I am willing to rise to any occasion when needed, and work best when I am very busy and under pressure.  I take constructive criticism as a learning tool,  and I always have a positive attitude when someone takes the time to make me a better player. I will fight to earn my spot and keep it on the team and I will work hard to be consistent and an asset in whatever position I am needed in. I am different from all other recruits because I have a strong passion to improve my game every time I step on the field, which unlike skills can't be taught. I am willing to work as hard as needed to help my team be as successful as possible!
