Caitlin Cook '16 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete, my goal has always been to play Division I or Division II collegiate soccer. Ever since I can remember I have made physical activity and participation in sports a priority in my life, be it by participating in soccer, weight lifting, softball, alpine skiing, or basketball. As an athlete I possess an extremely competitive attitude while still being able to enjoy myself at all times no matter what I'm doing. I am willing to put in the extra time and effort to become the best I can possibly be, because I am not satisfied with settling for anything less than I know I am capable of. I lead by example on and off of the field. Even during my first varsity season in 8th grade, I was looked up to by my older teamates for my ball skills, knowledge of the game, and work ethic. As many people say, "A team is only as strong as it's weakest link". I am the the type of player that looks to help every teammate to improve as to better the team as a whole. I work very well with others and I'm willing to do whatever is necessary to help the team as a whole, be it by playing a new position or otherwise. Academics have always been my number one priority. As a student I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA every year, as well as being ranked third in my graduating class, while being a three sport athlete during the school year. My strong work ethic and drive for success in the classroom and on the playing field combined with a natural talent for the game is definitely something I believe would benefit any team.
