My name is Alexandra Kerwin but everyone calls me Allie. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. Soccer is my passion, I pretty much live and breath soccer. I had been playing soccer with my local club Neptune Soccer Association since recreation. My first travel team was the Krush-hers where I played half of the game on the field then moved into the goal. When it was time to move to full sided the team disbanded. I then began playing for the Barracudas who was the team 1 year older than my team. I was supposed to split time in the goal but became my team’s full time goalie. I have been with them for 5 years and for the past few years we have been playing in the Premier division . The Barracudas have now merged with the Stingrays due to lack of girls. We play U18/19 Premier. Unfortunately since the Barracudas don’t really do Tournaments I joined Freehold Celtic for a higher level of play. This past year we won the NJYSA State Cup U16. This year due to the age bracket changes we will be playing U18. This past December we have combined with Toms River Everton who was the US Club State Cup winner U16.
In my free time I am an assistant Coach with a U13 Girls team in Neptune I also train some of the younger goalies in the club and Coach a recreation team.
I am the starting Varsity Goalie for Neptune High School since a freshman. I was captain my junior year and I am now captain again my senior year. Neptune is my sending district for sports and I go to Academy of Allied Health Science in Neptune for academics. My curriculum is tough and as the name sounds my school prepares me to go into the field of medicine should I choose that path.
I am a hard worker both on and off the pitch. In addition to training with my various teams I train with Jill Loydan at The Keepers Institute whenever I can.
My dream is to play soccer at the college level and I look forward to show you what a hard worker I am.
