As an athlete one word to describe myself would be: driven. Driven is my athletic personality in a nutshell. I live to play this game, and to play it at my fullest potential at all times.I live and breathe this game. Its all i think about and all i want to do. My father was the one who taught me how to play soccer, and he passed away when i was 8 years old. Because of this, my passion for the sport is indescribable. i work as hard as i possibly can at all times for him, constantly pushing myself not to be good, but to be the absolute best. One of my favorite quotes that i try to live by every day is "when you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe." this quote definitely describes my passion, drive, and love for the game. With this character in mind i think of myself as a leader on the field, constantly controlling my defense positively and selflessly.
As a student, my passion for the game of soccer also fuels my academic life. I am well aware that if my grades aren't up to par, soccer will be taken away from me. Because of this, i try to work as hard as i do in the sport, in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom and field, i am a class officer at my school, board member for a volunteering club in my community, and do countless hours of community service. one of my favorite volunteering projects i do is coaching a soccer team of eight to ten year olds in the league that ignited my love for the game. it is always truly touching stepping onto the very field that my father and i did many years ago that sparked my absolute and never ending love for the game. coaching these kids and teaching them the core values of soccer and seeing there progress through the season is truly an accomplishment.
